Found in the Pietralunga area on the border with the Marche. Mentioned as early as 1500 and described by Costanzo Felici among the prestigious varieties of the area. Not very vigorous and spreading tree. Late flowering and ripening in the first ten days of September. The fruit is of medium size, enlarged pyriform. The peel has a green base color and a brick red covering, very intense. Numerous and rusty lenticels evident.  Petiole of medium length, cream-colored pulp, medium-grained, when ripe, very aromatic and sweet. Not very storable.
